Rancho Bernardo runs along I-15 well inland, which means summer temperatures track the hot end of the county rather than the coastal average. Cars here deal with sustained heat, and the interiors show it — cracked dashboards and faded upholstery are far more common inland than they are ten miles west.

The commute pattern is specific.
